Dr. Ariel Rad was educated at Princeton (B.S.E., magna cum laude), Duke School of Medicine (M.D.) and the University of London (Ph.D., immunology), and he is a Johns Hopkins trained Board certified plastic surgeon, Clinical Assistant Professor and former Director of aesthetic plastic surgery there. Dr. Rad specializes in endonasal (closed) and preservation rhinoplasty, minimally invasive facial aesthetic surgery, and microvascular perforator flap (DIEP/SGAP) reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Rad has membership with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and he has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2010. In 2014, Dr. Rad founded his Washington DC-based practice, SHERBER+RAD, with his wife and Board certified dermatologist, Dr. Noëlle Sherber, drawing patients globally who seek refined, natural results.
Dr. Rad has been on the invited faculty at national and international conferences, and he is known for his technical ability, artistic vision and caring manner.
