Alan Landecker, M.D., is a graduate of the University of São Paulo Medical School, having completed General Surgery Residency at the same institution. His training in Plastic Surgery was obtained at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and the Ivo Pitanguy Clinic. After obtaining the ECFMG / USMLE certification, Dr. Landecker visited the Universities of Miami, Alabama at Birmingham, Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York and Texas Southwestern, where he performed clinical research and clinical rotations.
In 2005, Dr. Landecker specialized in structured primary and secondary rhinoplasty at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, Texas, with Dr. Jack P. Gunter. He then worked with Dr. Dean M. Toriumi in Chicago, USA. Drs. Gunter and Toriumi are two of the best nasal surgeons of all time and have developed many techniques in the specialty. After returning to Brazil, Dr. Alan Landecker was for several years part of the faculty at the Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium. He also participated in the re-edition of the “Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters” book, in which he co-authored a series of chapters with Drs. Gunter, Rohrich, Toriumi, and other leading surgeons.
Currently, Dr. Landecker practices in São Paulo, Brazil. He teaches structured rhinoplasty nationally and internationally, is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), is one of the editors of the rhinoplasty section in the PSEN (American Society of Plastic Surgery) website and is also a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
